Therapy Services

My approach to psychotherapy is client centered and non-directive. My style is flexible and a customized response that is suited to the client's particular needs and circumstances. My theoretical approach is trauma informed, sex positive and based upon a combination of psychodynamic,  feminist theory, relational-cultural theory, Internal Family Systems and more. My approach focuses on changing problematic behaviors, feelings, and thoughts by discovering your unconscious and conscious meanings and motivations. My clients learn about themselves by exploring their interactions in the therapeutic relationship.

I facilitate you exploring your inner landscape to name and understand your attachment style, childhood and life experience and family dynamics that shape your thoughts, beliefs and actions. Together, we consider how you unconscious is driving your thoughts, actions and more. Your therapeutic exploration helps you individuate, maintain independence, develop insight and self-awareness as you change your thoughts, beliefs and actions that reflect the heald and integrated best Self as your are now

Blue Couch

Individual Therapy

Many of my clients experience:

  • childhood emotional neglect

  • people pleasing

  • inconsistency in setting and keeping boundaries

  • feeling empty and numb

  • being disconnected from Self

  • relationships issues

  • lack of direction or excitement for their future

  • attachment wounds

  • lack of safety to change and grow internally and externally

I work alongside you, guiding you beyond your adult experience and connecting with the parts of yourself and the integrated experiences you have not fully understood. We will connect with the inner parts that have been pushed to the side out of self-preservation and protection.  With gentleness and compassion, we’ll discover the complex parts that make up your Internalized Family System.

Clinical Supervision

Clinical supervision is a structured process that helps licensed social workers develop professionally and reflect on their practice. It can benefit both new and experienced licensed social workers.

My clinical supervisor style mirrors my therapeutic style. In addition to the traditional framework of traditional supervision and test prep, I utilize:

Interpersonal Process Supervision

  • We focus on the relationships between supervisor and supervisee and the relationships between supervisee and their clients. This type of supervision can help increase supervisees’ awareness of their interpersonal style and how it affects their work with clients.

Feminist Therapy Supervision

  • We emphasizes the importance of understanding power dynamics in therapist-client relationships. In addition, this type of supervision can help increase supervisees’ awareness of social justice and diversity issues.

Humanistic-Existential Supervision

  • We focus on the trainee’s personal growth and development. The supervisor helps the trainee to become more aware of their values, beliefs, and biases. This type of supervision can be beneficial in increasing self-awareness and developing therapeutic skills.
